My daughter doesn't connect well with other girls. When she has the choice, she always gravitates to the boys. She likes playing with "boy" toys like trucks, cars and "boys" action figures. She has nothing to do with dolls, dress up, or anything like that. She will NOT wear dresses. And she is pretty tough when she plays, very physical. I am concerned she is not "in touch with her femininity". I am disappointed because, as a mother, I was looking forward to sharing "girl" time with my daughter. She'll have none of it. She has been like this since she was 3 or 4.

Trying to change how your daughter is acting is not productive. She will resent you for trying to make her fit a mold that clearly she is not interested in. Join her in the actvities that she enjoys, even if that means not the kind of "girl" time you had planned. The important thing is that you spend time with her and in doing so you can show her that being "girly" and having fun with "boy" things can go hand in hand.
