My son especially is SO into video games. We've let things get out of hand. He hasn't been outside to play in weeks. And we've tried every way to nicely/gently nudge him outside. What do you do to make sure your child gets outside and broaden their fun "horizons" beyond video games?

Video games are very addicting..have you ever tried them out? Give him atime limit to play video games. Explain his bones and muscles need to have exercise to stay healthy and playing outside is a great way to keep healthy! Also dont just send your child outside alone... join him and show him that playing video games are a part of his life not his whole life!

I would suggest only allowing your child a set amount of time to play the video game a day. For instance only allow 30 min to 1 hour a day and only allow after they have completed their homework and chores. Make it a reward not a necessity.
